Fundraiser for the 2016 Tamasha Festival set for Saturday 24th October 2015

None on Record will tomorrow 24th October 2015 be hosting a fundraising showcase for The Tamasha Festival, in conjuction with some of East Africa’s most inspiring, trendsetting and innovative artistes alongside featured acts from the region and Diaspora, as a launch and buildup to the main festival in 2016.

Tamasha Cultural Arts Festival which is a biennial project is a space where cultural products (films, photography, literature, etc.) are showcased and distributed. It allows for greater access to stories about African LGBTI experiences and creates a space where community members can be in conversation with Pan-African LGBTI media makers, strengthening the potential for LGBTI advocacy work across the continent.

The fundraiser which will be held at The Juniper Kitchen, Waiyaki Way in Nairobi will start at 7:00pm and will go on till the wee hours of Sunday morning. Eric Wainaina, Muthoni Drummer, Queen Shishani, Black Blingers and DJ Creme Dela Crème among others.

Payment for online purchases can be made through either MPESA or card. Tickets will also be available at the entrance where they will be vending for KShs 1200.
