War, Homophobia and Racism Must End. Join Our Protest Now!

Today Kuchu Times Media Group joins Peace One Day in the Anti-Racism Live 21 March protest against homophobia, racism and war in association with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

“The 2022 edition of the International Day of Peace focuses on the theme “VOICES FOR ACTION AGAINST RACISM”. This edition aims, in particular, at: highlighting the importance of strengthening meaningful and safe public participation and representation in all areas of decision-making to prevent and combat racial discrimination; reaffirming the importance of full respect for the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly and of protecting civic space; and recognizing the contribution of individuals and organizations that stand up against racial discrimination and the challenges they face.” Says the United Nations in a document.

The protest will be a free live digital broadcast featuring international leaders, activists, actors and musicians, using their voices to inform, inspire and engage a global audience on Anti-Racism Day and manifest action towards a more equal and just world.

Jeremy Gilley the founder Peace One Day says, ”Racial discrimination has sadly been noticed in the current conflict in Ukraine, and other wars around the world. So, wherever possible, we are providing space for participants of Anti-Racism Live 2022 to discuss racism in the context of war.”

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly devoted this day to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.

As Kuchu Times Media Group we stand strong with our LGBTIQ family in Ukraine in the face of battle. We are with you in spirit.
