1. Artivism Fellowship Cohort 5 — ForumCiv
⚠️ DEADLINE: TOMORROW — March 10, 2026
If your art is political — whether you paint, photograph, perform, or agitate — this one is for you, and you need to move right now.
ForumCiv’s Artivism Fellowship is open to contemporary artists in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania who use their creative practice as a tool for social transformation. Cohort 5 is officially open and they are looking for artists whose work challenges injustice, shifts culture, and inspires action.
This is more than a fellowship. It is a movement of creatives building community around art as a force for change.
Who should apply: Contemporary artists across disciplines based in Uganda, Kenya, or Tanzania. Deadline: March 10, 2026 (tomorrow — do not sleep on this) Apply here: Click to fill in the application form Inquiries: [email protected]
2. FRIDA | Young Feminist Fund — Open Grant Call
Deadline: Check the website for the current cycle
FRIDA (the Young Feminist Fund) provides core, flexible funding to emerging grassroots groups led by young women, girls, trans, and intersex feminists working on gender justice and human rights. If your collective is young, feminist, and grassroots, this fund was built with you in mind.
What makes FRIDA different from most funders is that applicants vote on who receives the grants — meaning the people most affected by the funding make the decision. Your group does not need to be formally registered to apply.
Who is eligible:
- Groups led by young women, girls, trans and/or intersex youth aged 30 and under (at least 70% of membership)
- Groups based in East, West, South, or Central Africa; Asia and the Pacific; Latin America; the Caribbean; South West Asia and North Africa; or Central, Eastern Europe and Central Asia
- Groups with an overall budget under USD 50,000 (priority given)
- Unregistered collectives are welcome
What the grant can be used for: Programme activities, staff stipends, rent, utilities — your group decides based on collective needs.
