STATE ACTORS HIGHEST PERPETRATORS OF HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AGAINST KPs- HRAPF REPORT

The report further reveals that local council authorities were reported to be high violators of the rights of key populations accounting for a whopping 47.6% of the documented cases. The Uganda Prisons and Uganda Police came second and third as the highest abusers of the rights of key populations in Uganda as per the officially recoded cases.

KUCHU MEMORIAL DAY #DKK10: SMUG ENGAGES LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN DIALOGUE

To mark the annual Kuchu Memorial Day on Tuesday 26th January 2021, Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) hosted a dialogue meeting with several local council authorities and LGBT+ activists from various organizations in and around Kampala. However, this was impossible during this time and we are now seeing a rise in depression and anxiety cases.
