Many have used religion and culture as their basis for homophobia in Africa. However, a group of African American religious leaders under their umbrella organization, The fellowship Global (TFG) have defied the norm and started a campaign to fight against homophobia across the world.
InterPride, the International Association of LGBTI Pride Organizers, announces the opening of the 2015 grant cycle for its Solidarity Fund.
Through the Solidarity Fund, InterPride makes small grants to organizations that are helping to create positive change and promote a better understanding of LGBTI communities around the globe. The focus of the fund is on community-based events in portions of the world where public LGBTI events face challenges and hostility.
