On the due date, I took myself to the hospital but the doctors refused to perform the c-section without signed consent from a man. I was already and labour and bleeding profusely that hours later when they finally accepted to perform the c-section, my baby was already tired. My little girl died two days later and I found out two days after that because I was still in coma from the loss of blood.

During the COVID-19 crisis, I missed out on online Zoom counseling meetings which were scheduled for HIV+ clients with health care service providers, a service I needed the most at the time. Right now after the training I feel confident to even conduct my own meetings.

My name is Chebet Christine from Mbale, Eastern Uganda. I’m 26yrs old but I look like a 17yr old because of my harsh life I’ve gone through.
As LGBTQ Ugandans we must continue masking up and sanitising to deter further spread of the virus from household to household.
Let us know if the Uganda Government should consider abolishing single schools to stop students from “becoming” LGBTQ or keep both systems since people are born gay anyway.
The uniqueness of our health needs is undoubted and while the whole world feigns ignorance masking homophobia, spaces like Ark Wellness Hub are stepping up to close this gap.
The training was good and relevant because I was able to learn different skills of story development which include conceive, compose and control especially for publicity purposes and few poetry writing skills for artistic writers and this will make me a better correspondent.Thank you KTMG for this opportunity of equipping us with more knowledge.-Participant.
