A few days ago, I watched MPs thumping their chests in parliament threatening to re-introduce the Anti-Homosexuality bill. One after another, they took to the podium spitting fire against a group of people that have become the easiest political darts that politicians launch each time they want to engage in cheap political games.

This is not the first time since 2014 that the Ugandan Parliament has attempted to retable the bill. In fact, one of the LGBT community leaders noted that this has become a trend for Parliament to bring up the topic of homosexuality every time they need to redeem themselves or are caught in unpleasant situations.
In a first of its kind locally‚ a website has been launched to help victims anonymously report hate crimes in South Africa. The platform was created by the Love Not Hate campaign‚ a nationwide initiative addressing violence against lesbian‚ gay‚ bisexual‚ transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people.
Annually, 31st March is International Transgender Day of Visibility- a day dedicated to celebrating transgender persons and raising awareness about the discrimination and difficulties faced by transgender people worldwide.
It took Aaron several years to reconcile his Christian religious beliefs with his sexual orientation. Through prayer, study, and long conversations with God, he has been graced with understanding and insights that he hopes to share with others. He feels a strong sense of mission to preach the gospel of love, healing, and redemption to everyone he meets. Aaron hopes to help people everywhere experience the essential truth that God is love.
