The Republic of Uganda is an East African nation and former British colony, which gained independence from the U.K. in 1962. Since then it has retained many of its anti-gay laws and even gone so far as to institute newer, harsher penalties for homosexual acts.

Going by biblical stories, the first human beings as we are told, Adam and Eve never wore clothes on their bodies and that was just fine. The connotation of them getting aware of their nakedness ‘immediately after they sinned’ in the garden of Eden, is seriously only confusion that doesn’t quite rhyme perfect with the gist of the story, where Eve reportedly plucked a fruit from the forbidden tree and handed it over to Adam. Dressed or naked, the focus ought to have been put on Eve’s act, which in my view is the most important issue
In a remarkable development, the City Council of Gaborone, Botswana’s capital, has called for the repeal of the country’s criminalisation of homosexuality. The council passed the unopposed motion on Wednesday, noting the importance of reducing the spread of HIV / AIDS.

A group of 16 Ugandan LGBTI refugees and asylum seekers were recently relocated from Nairobi where they were facing various attacks and a string of security concerns to Kakuma camp in the North Western part of Kenya. The attacks were engineered by the local community through mob justice and pressurizing the local authority to have the refugees deported.
